The Highway Crew manages the depository which accepts and chips brush deposited by Exeter and St. Lawrence residents and then provides the mulch for pick up. This deposit area is located at the Trout Run Sports & Recycling Complex at the intersection of W. Neversink Road and E. Neversink Road and is for the convenience of Exeter and St. Lawrence residents only. The brush must be generated on a Township or Borough property and delivered by the property owner or a designee and not a contractor.
Access Cards:
In order to access the facility, an access card is needed to open the gate and you must register for one at the Exeter Township Building at 4975 DeMoss Road, weekdays between 8am and 4:30pm. Registration requires the resident’s name, address, phone number, and for proof of residency or land ownership either by showing a drivers license or a paid tax receipt. There will be a $4 charge for the access card because the card’s actual cost is not covered by the grant received from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the security gate system. One card will be given per household. Landscaping companies doing work on residents’ properties are not authorized to use Trout Run. Dumping construction debris or trash of any kind at Trout Run is expressly prohibited and carries a fine of up to $600 per offense.
The Depository also accepts grass clippings, and Christmas Trees which are used in making mulch as well.
The Trout Run Brush Depository is monitored by cameras at all times. Hours that the facility are open are subject to change.
Hours of Operation:
During Daylight Savings Time (Spring to Fall) - 8am to 8pm, every day.
NOT During Daylight Savings Time - 8am-6pm every day.
The system will lock at these precise times and you must be outside the gate or you WILL be locked in!
