We hope you like the new website! Here are a few things you should know about the new site.
First off, there a few bugs that are still being worked out, mainly the look of the site when on certain pages, such as the search results. Don't be alarmed! You are still on our website, and we hope to have it resolved shortly.
If you are using the new Internet Explorer 8, please turn on "Compatibility View" to be sure the site functions correctly.
At this time, user registrations from our previous site are not being carried over to this site. You will have to reregister. However, take note that the user you create can be used on other Township and County sites as they come online in Sharepoint.
Our site uses several "document libraries" now to store documents used on our site. These libraries are linked to the assorted pages they correspond to and are also found at the top navigation bar above. This is where just about all documents can be found. However, documents can also be "attached" to things such as news items and calendar entries...which is the case for meeting agendas.
Would you like to get an email whenever something you are interested in gets updated/added? Such as minutes, parks programs, new items, or calendar additions? Browse to the library, calendar, or list you are interested in (click it's heading, such as "calendar" or "news"), click the "Actions" menu button, and choose "alert me". You can then set up the notifications the way you want. This requires registering for the site (found in the top right corner). Our former website called these eAlerts and you were added to everything when registering for the site. This site now allows you more control over what you get alerts for.
The photo galleries now have more functionality, such as a slideshow. This can be accessed through the Actions menu for the gallery as well.
There are more smaller changes so take a look around to familiarize yourself with the site and we hope you like it. Also, keep an eye out for more changes coming soon....Such as more online forms.
