Refuse collection in Exeter Township is handled privately by every property owner. Exeter Township requires that all property owners contract with a registered trash hauler. Each November the haulers must register at the Municipal Building and provide evidence of insurance.

If you observe a hauler in your neighborhood that is not on this list, please contact Cheryl Franckowiak in the Engineering Department at 610-779-5702 and provide as much information about the truck (such as the name on the truck and license plate number) so that they can be notified of Exeter Township's licensing regulations.
Over the past several years residents have complained about noise and starting times of the haulers. In accordance with the Noise Ordinance, (Police Enforcement) haulers should not be collecting from 6 pm to 7 am. Should you have any concerns, please contact the Police Department at 610-779-1490.
MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING ORDINANCE
White Goods Disposal
Every Saturday from 6am to noon, the Pioneer Crossing Landfill offers disposal of "white goods" for residents of Exeter, Robeson, and Union Townships and Birdsboro Borough. White goods are appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, etc. The appliances must be dropped off at the landfill. You must bring ID, and any appliance containing freon must have a sticker certifying they are now freon-free. For more information, please call 610-582-2900.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program
Once, or twice, each year the Berks County Solid Waste Authority and The Berks County Commissioners sponsor a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program for Berks County residents. Further information and a flyer will be available on our calendar when dates are set for the collection.
