Refuse Disposal Information

Refuse collection in Exeter Township is handled privately by every property owner.  Exeter Township requires that all property owners contract with a registered trash hauler. Each November the haulers must register at the Municipal Building and provide evidence of insurance.

If you observe a hauler in your neighborhood that is not on this list, please contact Jason Hunter in the Engineering Department at 610-779-5702. Please provide as much information about the truck (company name and license plate number) so that they can be notified of Exeter Township's licensing regulations.

White Goods Disposal
Every Saturday from 7am to 11am, the Pioneer Crossing Landfill offers disposal of "white goods" for residents of Exeter, Robeson, and Union Townships and Birdsboro Borough.  White goods are appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, etc.  The appliances must be dropped off at the landfill.  You must bring ID for proof of residency.  Any appliance containing freon must have a sticker certifying they are now freon-free OR you will need to fill out a form stating that the item has not been tampered with and no hoses are broken.  For more information, please call 610-582-2900.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program
Once, or twice, each year the Berks County Solid Waste Authority and The Berks County Commissioners sponsor a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program for Berks County residents.  Further information is available on our calendar when dates are set for the collection and on the recycling page.

E-Waste Drop Off
Exeter residents can take electronic waste to the Pioneer Crossing Landfill on Saturday's from 7am to 11am, for free.  E-waste includes things such as computers, monitors, tv's, printers etc.
